Shaun Gary David Explanation: Also in Martian, Klingon, and Venutian. One doesn't localize personal names in Finnish and I don't change my name for anyone anywhere. It's so nineteenth century. I guess if you wanted you could spell David as Daavid, but in practice, Finns pronounce foreign names as they are pronounced in the source language even if there is a Finnish cognate (as with Biblical names). If you just want to spell your name phonetically for a Finn, it could be like šaan geri deived or something, but most of them would know how to pronounce it anyway. |
