It is important to take into account the temporal element implicit in 'roster' in EN, which is omitted in many FR renderings which mean more or less simply 'list'; yes, a 'roster' IS a 'list' — but very often (and specifically here), it is a list of who will do what AND WHEN; there si an aspect of FR 'planning' about it too, which is very important.

So these people are not just going to be added to a list of people who may / must fly these flights; it is also going to be specifying which person will be flying which flight when (for example).

If the term asked had been simply the noun '(duty) roster', then I would have said 'planning' would be an appropriate solution in FR; however, the use of it as a verb 'to roster' leaves me puzzling as to how one can express the notion of 'inscrire sur le planning' (!) correctly in FR.
