English term or phrase: Hut circle
Hi, does anyone know if there is a commonly used French term for 'hut circle'? The term refers to the archaeological remains of a stone round house, often on Dartmoor, England. See link for further info:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hut_circle

I can't seem to find an equivalent French term anywhere.

Thanks!

Merci, je crois que c'est la meilleure traduction dans ce contexte. 'Grimspound' en est un exemple parfait.

In archeology, a hut circle is a circular or oval depression in the ground with evidence of a low stone wall around it that used to be the foundation of a round house. The superstructure of such a house would have been made of timber and thatch. They are numerous in parts of upland Britain and most date to around the 2nd century BC.
