Bonjour, bonne et heureuse 2017
Pour moi, hélas, c'est l'impuissance mentale
Est-ce qu'il s'agit de feu arrière situé derrière le siège du passager dans une voiture conduite à gauche ?

agree  Tony M: Yes, the S/T appears to use a belt-and-braces approach with both near-side AND left to make it clear (unless each tail light has 2 parts?)

What is OSF – NSF – NSR – OSR?

We often get asked what the above terms mean…. They are an easy way to determine the location of a part on a vehicle. But which is which and why do we use them?

They refer to the side of the vehicle being nearest to the kerb.

NEARSIDE = PASSENGER SIDE (UK)

Nearside is the side closest to the kerb, in the UK this is the passenger side as we drive on the left hand side of the road.

NSF – N/S/F – Near Side Front

NSR – N/S/R – Near Side Rear

NSM – N/S/M – Near Side Middle

OFFSIDE = DRIVERS SIDE (UK)

Offside is the side furthest away from the kerb, in the UK this is the drivers side as we drive on the left hand side of the road.

OSF – O/S/F – Off Side Front

OSR – O/S/R – Off Side Rear

OSM – O/S/M – Off Side Middle

Why can’t we just use terms such as left and right?

If we used terms such as left and right, there may be confusion, as if you stood looking at the front of a car and said which was left and which was right then walked to the back of the car it would be the opposite.

Why can’t we just use terms such as drivers and passenger?

There are a small amount of vehicles that are left hand drive and again it could cause confusion, all our vehicles are Right Hand Drive (RHD) unless we advise otherwise.

You will see most of our ebay listings use these terms – now you know why
