English term or phrase: one-reeler
Bonjour,

20 mins
  -> Merci !

agree  Tony M: Though I think the expression these days usually refers to a 2,000' projection reel of film, which lasts around 20 mins (about the usual length for a 'short')
26 mins
  -> Merci !

neutral  Jennifer Levey: Methinks a typical 'Tom and Jerry' episode would, technically, be a 'one-reeler', but I'm less sure that it would qualify as a 'court-métrage' in the way the term is normally used in the French film industry.

agree  Franck Le Gac (X): I agree with all of the above, and have come across the term mostly while reading on silent cinema, to define or distinguish films that were not feature-length films (those appeared only in 1914-15).
