OK, so we now know that this is not European EN 12:20 Dec 4, 2012
...which explains a lot!
But what is the geography of the situation? Is the person saying this in some way 'up' on the statue, and asking for the milk containers to be handed up to them? Or are they all standing round the base of the statue, waiting for people to bring the milk up a long flight of steps?
The key point is whether or not there is any vertical sense to 'up', as this will surely change the perposition and/or verb required in FR? Cf. several uses in EN where 'up' is used with no sense at all of vertical movement or position, like the fairground cry 'Roll up, roll up!' — or indeed, 'roll up the carpet'; also 'to turn up unexpectedly'. |
