enregistrement de bruitages en post synchronisation Explanation: That's the literal meaning, but there may well be a FR industry jargon term; however, the US term 'foley' is quite often used in FR anyway. It refers to the very specialiszed art of post-synching footsteps and other similar man-made noises; coconut shells for horses hooves, etc. The point being that unlike most other 'momentary' sound FX, these are not usually edited in individually, but (used to) rely on a skilled artist to reproduce the footsteps etc. in sync with what they see on the screen. 'Beryl the Boot' was one of the most renowned foley artists in and around Londond and the BBC back in the '80s. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 minutes (2015-11-18 15:01:00 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Foley Artist | The Foley Diaries https://thefoleydiaries.wordpress.com/tag/foley-artist/ The photo of the late Beryl 'The Boot' Mortimer hard at work in the pits is mesmerising and it's most humbling to read about how many artists ... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 15 minutes (2015-11-18 15:03:23 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Actually, this is a better link to amore directly relevant article: http://filmsound.org/foley/steppingout.pdf. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 17 minutes (2015-11-18 15:05:31 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- A quick search on enregistrement foley turned up quite a few relavant examples, like this one: http://www.steinberg.fr/fr/produits/serie_nuendo/nuendo/adr....
