2 mins
Merci !

neutral  Timothy Rake: technically, you're right on, but if this appears on a menu, I'd have to go with FX

Merci !

neutral  Tony M: Technically correct, but you'd never see it on a menu! / But that's over-interpretation; and by the names of the dishes here, not too biological — or at least, fairly fanciful.
1 hr
  -> I was thinking of biological restaurants: they usually call things by their names! No fancy, a potato is a potato, a carrot is a carrot, etc!

4 mins
  -> merci!

agree  Timothy Rake: For a menu, this is a more "appetizing" option!
6 mins
  -> merci!

// which proves that dictionaries only go so far ... Alles is context.

agree  Tony M: Yes, you often find 'légumes' + 'accompagnements', which usually covers the féculent side of things
1 hr
  -> thanks!

agree  Kévin Bernier: Right on.

  -> merci!

"Accompagnements" convient parfaitement !
12 hrs
  -> merci!

Explanation:
accompagnement: trimmings : http://www.larousse.fr/dictionnaires/francais-anglais/accomp...

agree  Timothy Rake
5 mins
  -> Merci, Timothy !

disagree  Tony M: Unnecessarily specific, over-interpretation; you don't KNOW it's not a daily menu. I've eaten in dozens of restaurants, and translated hundreds of FR menus, and I have never, ever, not once seen this in a real-life menu.
1 hr
  -> "accompagnement" could be vegetables. Maybe the waitress says that, but this is written text. I've never seen "starches" on an EN menu either. Maybe they say starches 'cause it's potatoes in different forms: flan, mashed, stuffed,.. It's not a daily menu.
