A method, System and computer-usable medium are provided for managing the Open Channel for IMS command correctly by the UICC to hâve knowledge about the spécifie status code the ME received from IMS.

It is possible that UICC to ME commands may include an open channel for IMS fonction which extends known Bearer Independent Protocol (BIP) commands for IMS like Close Channel, Send data, Receive data and Get Channel Status to allow the channel to use the IMS as a means to send and receive IMS traffic to and from the UICC.
