Anatomiquement c'est l'abdomen, mais on dit bien queue de langouste ou de homard...
Sur les crabes européens il n'y a pas grand-chose à manger (genre tourteau), ce qui explique le peu de références, mais ça se prépare aussi, explications ci-dessous

disagree  Tony M: No, that's not the same thing; the 'tail' produces a small amount of meat that can be cut into 'medallions' / It's specific to species like the 'king crab', not at all the same as the usual European crab, as Didier F. has pointed out above.
