English term or phrase: "pitta me gyro"

Souvlaki literally means small skewer. The name is used differently in various areas of Greece. In Athens and other areas in the southern part of Greece it is used for meat from a skewer or pieces cut from pig or chicken gyros wrapped in warmed flat pitta with slices of tomatoes, rings of red onions, tzatziki or yogurt, sprinkled with red pepper (spicy upon request) and salt. Sometimes French fries and sauces likes mustard and ketchup are added against all tradition and the simple skewer served only with bread is called "kalamaki" - small wooden skewer. In Northern Greece the simple skewer served with a slice of bread is called "souvlaki" and the wrapped one "pitta me gyro".
