General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters / US Birth Certificate (Illinois)
English term or phrase: PCD
Hi all,
I am translating a US birth certificate (Illinois) and ahfe run upon this abbreviation "PCD" which I do not understand.
It appears on the certificate under "CERTIFIER/ATTENDANT" as follows :

CERTIFIER'S NAME AND TITLE (TYPE/PRINT)
MARY JONES (PLEASE NOTE THAT I CHANGED THE NAME HERE)
PCD

and that's it. No other context. So, I'm gussing this is her "title" ? Any ideas of what this might mean ?
I saw that "PCD" has already been asked before and one proposed explanation was "Partnership for Child Development", but I don't feel that that would fit here as the title of someone who certified a birth.
Any help is greatly appreciated !

disagree  Germaine: "ATTENDANT" = personne présente à la naissance, pas type d'accouchement! (qui intéresse l'assureur bien plus que le fonctionnaire d'état civil!)
