I'd like to see a bit more context to be sure about this! Normally, if it had the meaning we're all assuming, i.e. modelling something by computer in order to better understand its performance etc., I'd have expetced the word order to have been something like "The mineralization modeled consists of ..." (or 'being modeled', 'that was modeled', etc.) — this form with the past participle preceding the noun is relatively distinctive, and found more commonly in certain specific styles, such as patents, and also, in EN written by non-native speakers; then again, it may just be an Americanism.
But until this has been clarified, I am concerned that there could rest a potential ambiguity, albeit small. |
