Law/Patents - Insurance / Risk control report
English term or phrase: follow insurer
Bonjour,

Quelqu'un sait-il s'il existe un terme consacré en français?
Il s'agit d’assureurs subordonnés à l'assureur de tête. Ils doivent respecter les conditions imposées par ce dernier.

Contexte:
This Report may be disclosed by ABC to the following categories of recipient only (“Permitted Recipients”): the policyholder, broker, ABC’s managing agents under a binding authority, co-insurers or follow insurers where ABC is the lead insurer and reinsurers, in each case solely for the purpose of providing either (i) risk control advice.

Voici les explications du client :
The word ‘follow’ means other Insurers (who are competitiors to ABC) but also insure the same client. However, where ABC ‘leads’ the insurance, we will issue the insurance policy documents and dictate various conditions and limits (the ‘terms and conditions’) whilst the other insurers ‘follow’ our terms and conditions. Usually the lead Insurer conducts the surveys and the ‘follow’ insurers receive and use the reports (such as these reports) for their own decision making.

Explanation:
I don't know of/find on the web any "official term", but if the lead insurer is in a sense the "assureur primaire" it would make sense that follow insurers could be referred to as "assureur secondaire"
Bonne chance

BTW, the terms co-assureur and réassureur are appropriate and thus would seem distinct from use of "assureur secondaire"
