Asker: @ Tony & Anne, the reference here is about money, not to whom the care of the child is assigned- care money, tkx, can you pls review maybe?

neutral  Tony M: I doubt this is purely about 'garde'; at least in the UK, when we talk about this kind of benefit, it means compensating the carer for the extra trouble/time/expense of caring for a sick/disabled/elderly person. care has more the sense of 'soins' here

  -> yes, Tony, you are right, it is also complicated by the fact that the 'carer' is the father here, and usually parents get 'allocation', this is only a suggestion on my part
