insurance rating purposes à des fins de tarification d'assurance inondations Explanation: there must be a mistake in the source text : "for flood insurance rating purposes" " "... and [if] the lowest floor elevation for the building(s) for flood insurance rating purposes is below minimum flood elevation or is ineligible for flood insurance through the National Flood Insurance Program," |

insurance rating purposes aux fins de catégorisation des risques d’inondation Explanation: the sample text has too many missing elements to join all the relevant dots, but even what's available points clearly enough to the main idea: if the property can not be insured against floods i.e. is "rated" = "categorized as" non-insurable (due to being built too low in relation to the "danger level elevation") the owner/landlord is invited to take it back and keep it for himself. It could also mean that the "flood risk rating" is such that the insurance against flooding is offered but at prohibitive or extortionate prices. But this meaning is less likely - it probably wouldn't be a good reason enough to terminate a contract, and the reference to a "minimum flood elevation" would imply that properties build below the "expected levels of flooding" are simply non-insurable. insurance rating purposes = the rating in question is the risk rating, that has a direct impact on the price of the offered insurance, but also in the first place on the decision whether to offer or not the insurance at all. |
