Je pense qu'il faut comme le dit François Boye essayer de rendre l'idée d'un savoir exclusif, d'un secret partagé par une petite élite.
Et "international society" fait référence à une jet-set de connaisseurs, à mon sens.
Si on n'aime pas "must", autres possibilités : une référence, un nom fiable, un incontournable.
