English term or phrase: bezel

phrase :
6mm (¼") total *bezel* width between screens. Creative splits and shifts to the right of the *bezel*.

contexte :
So, these displays are a “matrix” or grid of TV screens put together to make one larger video display. The bezel is the black frame around the screen. New technology is making the bezels thinner and thinner, but they are still there making a “black line” across the creative. But instead of covering the video image that would fall “under” the bezel, the software splits the image and shifts it to the right of the bezel frame.

cadre
Explanation:

disagree  Tony M: But not here; although that is the function of a bezel in many other contexts, here the bezel is an unavoidable drawback that one would love to get rid of!

encadrement d'écran (filtrant/protecteur...)

Explanation:
The bezel is the black frame around the screen (for grid of TV screens) (voir le texte)
