Sachant qu'il s'agit de sous-titrage je pense comme Gregory qu'au lieu de chercher absolument à traduire cette partie tout en l'adaptant au système de notation français (ce qui prendrait plus d'explications, donc de caractères), il vaut probablement mieux passer cette partie concernant l'alphabet ce qui donnerait quelque chose du style "à chaque touche blanche correspond une note, il y a sept notes : do, ré..."

Comme l'a proposé Gregory et si le client le souhaite, on peut aussi garder le système de notation alphabétique qui est également utilisé en France. Mais étant donné que ces vidéos s'adressent à des néophytes, qui vont immanquablement se demander où sont passés do ré mi fa et sol, il faut pouvoir insérer quelque part une explication. Si c'est techniquement possible, cela pourrait donner quelque chose comme :

A chaque touche blanche correspond note, qui peut aussi être représentée par une lettre de l'alphabet. Il y a sept notes : A (la), B (si) etc.

Yes to what Tony said. That bit is translated backward.

I guess a choice must be made as far as how much you want to alter the source. By that, I mean that you can choose to either skip the whole alphabet aspect and use the French notation to designate the notes that the key represent (do, ré, mi etc).

Or

You can keep it as is and use the letter notation used in the English world.

I would check with the client or PM.

Just know that when it comes to individual notes, French speaking musicians use "do, ré, mi etc" both orally and in written form. For chords, they still say "do, ré, mi etc" very - if not most - often use the English notation in written form.

I'm afraid your proposed translation: "Chaque touche blanche est représentée par une note différente. Ce sont les notes musicales." is really nonsense! Each key represents a note — not the other way round!
You might want to use another verb, such as 'désigner' or 'dénoter' — though I think what you really need to do is re-write the whole central part of the text to explain the FR system in a more natural, idiomatic way, rather than trying to stick slavishly to the EN text.
