preoccupation with “felt impression” in my mind Préoccupée par l'image que j'ai de mon nez Explanation: In psychological terminology, the term felt impression refers to a system of mental imagery built upon a patient's false / distorted perception of reality. Example : A very skinny anorexic patient can be convinced that they are too fat and see themselves as fat in their mind, even though they are medically underweight. In psychological jargon, this person is said to have a felt impression of being fat. The mental image they have of their body is not a true representation of reality, which is obvious to everybody but to the patient, because of underlying psychological disorders. Example sentence(s):
