This is part of a warning message, attached, I imagine, to the pack the monitor cartridge comes in. A monitor cartridge is a type of fuel filter used in aircrafts. I've found "Kraftstofffilterpatrone" - it is my impression that, in German, the 'monitor' part is not translated. Is that right? Thanks for your help on this one!

Not only does it filter, it also "monitors" whether there is contamination like water or solid particles in the fuel and "indicates " this by an increase in fuel pressure differential - which I believe will be noticed by the avionics or fuel computers.

Quote from the net: "Monitor cartridges perform three jobs to give you clean, dry fuel. They absorb free and emulsified water, remove ultra-fine solids and shut down system flow when hit with a localized slug of water....

The presence of water or solids in the incoming fuel will be indicated by an increase in the pressure differential or a decrease in the flow rate as the cartridge reaches its maximum capacity for solids,
water or a combination of both. When either happens, the cartridge should be replaced."
