Der Begriff kommt im Zusammenhang mit Golfrasen vor.
Z. B. bei den Aufwandmengen eines Wachstumsregulators. bei den Fairways wird unterschiedenen zwischen:

fine turf Fairways und
predominantly perennial Ryegrass turf

Ich schließe daraus, dass der fine turf überwiegend aus einjährigen, zarteren Gräsern besteht. Gibt es dafür einen Fachausdruck?
