Science - Botany / Bäume
English term or phrase: re-elming the British countryside
The whole sentence:
We’re thrilled that Dame Judi Dench is supporting our campaign to re-elm the British Countryside.

"Wiederbelebung" ignores the "elm", vielleicht "Wiederbe-ulmung"? Oder "die Wiedereinführung der Ulme"? Oder hat jemand eine schönere Lösung? (I am not even trying to emulate the pun....)

Thank you all for a wonderful discussion - when I posted it, I thought you would enjoy this one! In the end, I decided to go with "Wiederbe-ulmung" and "Wurzeln schlagen lassen" (I had to provide two translations). If I could share the points, I would give them to Susanne and Susanne. Thanks again to everybody, it was great to see what everybody came up with.

agree  Steffen Walter: Weitere Varianten: Wiederansiedlung der Ulme [von Ulmen], Wiederanpflanzung von Ulmen. Vgl. https://www.lanu.de/de/Foerdern/Projekte-Aktionen/Foerderpro...
