Kontext ist eine Schulung für Verkaufsleiter eines Getränkeherstellers, bei der es u.a. um KPIs geht.
Es wird zur Veranschaulichung das Beispiel einer Basketballmannschaft herangezogen.

In der Tabelle mit der Überschrift:
"What's the KPI and the frequency of target and reward" werden Beispiele genannt, wie die Mannschaft ihre KPIs formuliert etc. und wie häufig die Aktion erfolgen soll.
Da wird genannt:
"Pre season Bleep training +1.5 by start of the season (Player KPI)
Pre season check (hurdle KPI)"

Übersetzt habe ich das so:
"Vorsaison (Lauftraining mit Signaltönen 1,5 mal zu Beginn der Saison (KPI für Spieler)

Aber was ein "hurdle KPI" ist, darauf komme ich nicht.
Hurdle ist die Hürde, das Hindernis

neutral  Wolfgang Hager: Denn: Huerden sind plural auf dem Weg zum Ziel. Sinn daher intermediaer, plus Schwelle oder Mindest. Etappen KPIs?

  -> Etappenziele sind super, allerdings mit dem kleinen Unterschied, dass die Hürden beim Hindernislauf immer gleich hoch sind, egal, wie weit die Läufer noch vom Ziel entfernt sind. Die Mindestsprunghöhe bleibt konstant ;J

The key feature of a "hurdle" in this sense is that there is a consequence (penalty) if one fails to meet the requisite level.
That differs from a KPI in which there may be targets set, but fundamentally is an assessment.
