Baum- und Holzpreisentwicklung Explanation: Das Ding ist gefährlich; kann man eigentlich gar nicht richtig übersetzen. Die Erklärungen in den anderen Beiträgen sind richtig: "timber" ist (gewöhnlich) der nicht gefällte Baum, "lumber" das Holzprodukt nach der Verarbeitung. Allerdings wissen wir nicht, ob die Bäume VOR oder NACH dem Fällen verkauft werden, das geht nämlich beides. Also beziehe ich das Wort "Baum" mit ein. Daher ist der obige Vorschlag auch nur eine Krücke, die aber einigermaßen passen sollte. Alternativ ginge auch schlicht "Holzpreisentwicklung", wenn man weniger differenzieren mag. |

Rohholz (Rundholz) und Bauschnittholz Explanation: Als Rohholz wird in der Forstwirtschaft das geerntete und für den Verkauf angebotene Holz bezeichnet. Dies sind gefällte, entastete und entwipfelte Bäume, die keine weitere Bearbeitung erfahren haben, mit Ausnahme einer eventuellen Entrindung, Aufteilung in kürzere Stücke oder Aufspaltung zu Schichtholz. Rohholz ist also ein Rohstoff für die weitere Holzverwendung. Neben dem Rohholz fällt bei der Holzernte noch das Waldrestholz an. Ein Synonym für Rohholz ist Rundholz, wenn auch nicht ganz korrekt, da Rohholz auch aufgespaltenes Schichtholz umfassen kann.
