Rein in den Groove Explanation: Ich würde Groove belassen Groove (Musik) „Im Groove sein” ist einerseits Ausdruck für Übereinstimmung im Handeln mehrerer Menschen, z.B. dem Zusammenspiel mehrerer Musiker, andererseits die Bezeichnung für ein Glücksgefühl, das durch psychomotorische Stimulation wie beim Tanzen ausgelöst wird. |

The other meanings have to do with the habit established by keeping to or in the groove ("His thoughts were slipping into a familiar groove") and the rhythmic pattern in popular or jazz music ( "The groove laid down by the drummer is tough and funky.") - all examples taken from New Oxford Dictionary. Thus "get into the groove" does not only mean "indulging in relaxed and spontaneous enjoyment, especially dancing", it harks back to vinyl records and to the repetitive action associated with travelling down one track. |
