Aus der Broschüre eines Herstellers von gehobenen Schreibinstrumenten:

"This is how they [die Designer und Künstler, die zur aktuellen Kollektion beigetragen haben] *make their mark*"

Das ist ein Wortspiel, man spielt hier auf die Funktion eines Stiftes an (X machen) und zugleich darauf, dass sich die mitwirkenden Künstler und Designer hier profilieren.

Mir fällt leider nichts entsprechend geistreiches auf Deutsch ein. Habt Ihr Ideen?

Wird oft im übertragenen Sinne verwendet, und hier geht es ja tatsächlich auch um die Handschrift im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes. Ich weiß allerdings nicht, ob und wie das in deinen Satz passt; da müsste man wissen, wofür "this" steht.
