der ganze Satzteil lautet:
The Directors shall, where the specified shares represent not less than 0.25 per cent of the class of shares concerned, be entitled to withhold payment of any dividend or other amount payable in respect of the specified shares and/or to refuse to register any transfer of the specified shares or any renunciation of any allotment of new shares or debentures made in respect thereof
**unless such transfer or renunciation is shown to be an arm’s length transfer or a RENUNCIATION TO another beneficial owner unconnected with the holder or any person appearing to have an interest in the specified shares.**

Das "to" verwirrt mich hier, denn normalerweise hat man ja "renunciation OF sth." = "Verzicht auf etwas". Bedeutet das hier "...oder ein Verzicht ZUGUNSTEN eines anderen wirtschaftlichen Eigentümers, der weder mit dem Inhaber, noch einer sonstigen Person, die ein Interesse an den angegeben Aktien zu haben scheint, verbunden ist" oder "...oder ein Verzicht AUF einen anderen wirtschaftlichen Eigentümer, der weder mit dem Inhaber, noch einer sonstigen Person, die ein Interesse an den angegeben Aktien zu haben scheint, verbunden ist" ?

Explanation:
Kommt mir als 'disclaimer (wie bei einem Erbteil) in favo(u)r of' another beneficial owner vor.

Nur wird ein 'allotment' auf BrE (und AmE/CanE?) 'renounced' d.h. z.B. a Solicitor or Accountant as company promoters wll renounce -'to' > in favour of other shareholders - taking up any shares issued on the company formation (set-up).
