Aufnahme, Einweisung Explanation: admission heißt Einweisung (ins Krankenhaus); case wird in diesem Fall der Patient sein; was day hier bedeutet, müsste nach Kontext beurteilt werden, evtl. für einen Tag? HTH [email protected] |

see below Explanation: a day case admission is an admission to hospital which does not require an overnight stay, usually used for minor operations etc., hence probably ambulante Einweisung or something similar. |

Better late than never. Explanation: IP = Inpatient (care)= stationäre Behandlung IP admission = stationäre Aufnahme day case (care)= outpatient treatment = ambulante Behandlung day case admission = outpatient admission = ambulante Aufnahme The problem is that "admission" does not mean "Einweisung", it means "Aufnahme". The "Einweisung" (= sending to hospital or commitment to a hospital or hospitalization) is the order/request/Anweisung from the doctor that results in the "admission" = "Aufnahme". Ambulant is also ambulant in English or outpatient with the same meaning as the "day" in "day case". "Day case (care)" must be then "ambulante Behandlung" and "day case admission" = "ambulante Aufnahme. http://www.qcark.com/AboutUs/psp_dual99.asp - - HTH - Dan |
