index nodule Indexknoten/-knötchen Explanation: Die Erklärung von Matthew trifft nach meiner Erfahrung zu – ich habe schon einige Studien übersetzt, in denen dieses Prinzip angewendet wurde. Bei diffusen Veränderungen, z.B. generalisierten Hautkrankheiten, werden gern bei Studienbeginn bestimmte Hautbereiche oder Läsionen ausgewählt, die vielleicht besonders typisch oder besonders gut charakterisierbar sind, und an diesen Stellen werden dann ausführliche Untersuchungen durchgeführt, die zu aufwendig sind, um sie bei sämtlichen Läsionen des Patienten durchzuführen. Ich kenne den Ausdruck "Index-XXX" dafür (da bei Studien ja sowieso gern die Terminologie aus dem Englischen übernommen wird), aber Matthew's "Referenz-" geht sicher auch. |
