Ich werde schon ganz balla, weil ich nicht weiß, ob Lionel Richie als Balladensänger oder als Balladenmacher oder wie auch immer zu bezeichnen wäre:

Lionel Ritchie writes his songs as well as sings them, which what the "balladeer" is referring to, not that he sings ballads, which technically he doesn't. for heaven's sake, don't use Liedermacher! - he's neither Folkloric, political nor cult, but absolute mainstream. My suggestion would be "Song/Pop Komponist". Hope this helps!
Wenn wir Schrauben und Nägel unetrscheiden, sind wir doch auch nicht so ungenau und phantasieren so vor uns her. Wenn man die bereits vorhandenen Links aufblättert, sieht man, worum es geht, und dabei ist "gefällt mir" oder "gefällt mir nicht" oder ähnliches bei den Kommentaren, die wir dann alle lesen, weil wir sie abonniert haben, eher störend, sorry. Ist ein Balladensänger ein Schmusesänger ? Nein. Eine Inbusschraube kann auch als Halteschraube dienen, ist aber keine.
Das "Singer-Songwriter" kann ich schlecht weginterpretieren, es steht ja so überdeutlich im Original. Über 100 Mio. Alben können eben nicht irren ;-) aber ich frage mich auch, wie das zusammenpasst.
Singer-Songwriter geht gar nicht, und bei Soul-Sänger denke ich zuallererst an James Brown. Mit Balladensänger ist er als Schlagersänger er gut bedient ;-)
also, wenn es im ersten Satzteil um die VOCALS geht, finde ich "Singer Songwriter" unlogisch und würde bei dem Wort bleiben, das seine Stimme und seinen Vortrag richtig beschreibt, Balladensänger.
geht schlecht, weil es im Satz vorher heißt: Lionel Richie, is an award-winning International singer-songwriter, producer and Humanitarian ... Ich muss gestehen, das ich auf diesem Gebiet nicht so firm bin. Ich denke da immer an Michael Ballack, der ja angeblich zu Take That wechseln will ...
