Maybe this was too complicated for me. After 16k E-Learn on lubricants copy I was puzzled by those nasty terms.
My final choice was:
color positive = mehrfarbig positiv
color reverse = mehrfarbig negativ
one-color positiv = einfarbig positiv
one-color reverse = einfarbig negativ

If the translation is to be used by users of Adobe Photoshop or InDesign, Farbinvertierung</B> will cause havoc.

I am almost certain I explained it clearly several times in my answer and in the discussion, but obviously not.

Anyway, pictures speak more than words, so I just ran these examples off in Photoshop Creative Suite.

This is what happens when you exchange or invert colours in Adobe software packages (used by most layouters, designers, graphic designers and photographers:

Colour positive = farbig positiv

I hope this clarifies the matter. Farbumkehr/Farbinvertireung creates totally new colours.
In your question, the colours remain exactly the same and are only exchanged.

Please take care not to confuse 4-c (a printing term) with positive and negative as used for logos.

Most corporate design (CD) guidelines offer a positive logo in colour, the reverse (not inversion!) of it as a negative logo and, usually a black and white logo for use in faxes and other non-colour applications. This is to cater for a range of backgrounds used in communicative media like print on white or light colours, print on darker backgrounds or print in monochrome on - almost always - white backgrounds and is a way to make the logo visually prominent at all times.

The positive logo is the one that most people will associate with the company or brand - BP yellow on green, Shell red on yellow, Leica white script on red

Farbumkehr and Farbinversion are terms generally used in digital image processing. For instance, "Farbumkehr" and "Farbinversion" can be used to convert scanned colour negatives into colour pictures (a little more complex in real life, because it also extracts the orange mask). In more advanced image processing, they can also be useful for correcting colour-casts - or creating false-colour images to make certain details more prominent, like vegetation

Sorry, nein. Gemeint mit "full color" ist ganz einfach die Farbversion des Logos im Gegensatz zur Schwarz/Weiß-Version oder der Version mit nur einer Buntfarbe (Gelb). Ob die Farben im Vierfarbprozess (CMYK) oder mit Schmuckfarben erzielt werden, ist unerheblich.
