"Ministries" im kirchlichen Sinne kann allgemein "Amt" oder "Dienst" sein, beide Aspekte werden im Englischen durchaus synonym verstanden.
Wenn es um kirchliche Angebote für eine bestimmte Gruppe (hier: Jugend, oder evtl. die junge Generation) geht, wird aus dem Dienst im deutschsprachigen Kontext i. d. R. "-arbeit", im r.-k. Kontext auch "-pastoral" (also: Jugendpastoral).

Church work "by, with and for young people" may or may not be overtly religious. For example, it might involve running a youth club that serves to keep young people off the streets and helps to prevent them getting into trouble, but without any overtly religious content. That's why "Jugendarbeit" comes fairly close to describing what it's about.

One of the important points here is that for many (most?) Christian churches, "ministry" isn't just something carried out by priests but is something that all Christians do (and not necessarily in explicitly religious terms).

What exactly is this ministry work "by, with and for young people"? Has it something to do with religion or is it simply about net contact? It seems to me that that is the issue here.

No, it's not for angehende Prediger. It's about ministry (work) "by, with and for young people".

scheint mir die Sache doch nicht zu sein: es geht um eine Arbeitsstelle, aber für eine religiöse
Gemeinde. Könnte es vielleicht etwas mit Ausbildungsprogramme für angehende Prediger oder Pfarrer zu tun haben?

Danke für den Link. Die "mitgelieferte Übersetzung" ist allerdings grauslich. Sie stammt gottseidank nicht von mir.
Deinen Hinweis auf die Kudoz-Regeln kann ich nicht nachvollziehen. Gegen welche dieser Regeln habe ich mit meiner Frage denn Deiner Ansicht nach verstoßen?
