The effect of stern thrusters has been included in one simulation set. The simulations show that stern thrusters only have an influence in aft quarterly wind conditions. The absence of stern thrusters has no influence on the general wind limit for crabbing performance, as the performance in aft quaterly winds is much better even without thrusters.

Explanation:
M.E. muß zwischen "aft" und "aft quarter" unterschieden werden. aft alleine heiß von achtern +- 1 Strich. aft quarter bedeutet ungefähr 4 Strich achterlicher als dwars (querab), entsprechend ca. 45° (+- 1 Strich) vorlicher als recht achteraus. Siehe auch div. Stellen (selbst Wikipedia) und Dluhy Wb. Aus Sachzusammenhang wäre eine Beschränkung auf achterlichen Wind auch nicht sinnvoll, da Heckstrahlruder eben auch bei raumem achterlichen Wind durch diesen in ihrer Wirkung ggf. gestützt werden, bei vorlichen Winden aber in ihrer Wirkung eher reduziert werden.
