Spanabfuhr Explanation: G'Day Ina, within the context, my suggestion is "Spanabfuhr". It could, however, also refer to the way the chip is formed (ie., chip breaker grooves in the tool, etc.), whereby short chips are easier to remove than long curly ones. HTH wolfgang |

Spanabzug Explanation: You should go with "Spanabzug". The suggestion "Steuerung" is with all due respect ridiculous. That would go against the spirit of the German language. Don't use that. |
