Zeichenfolge, Zeichenkette Explanation: Bei einem Werk, das sich an Programmierer richtet, würde ich den Begriff "string" einführen, also einmal string (Zeichenkette) schreiben, denn Programmierer kennen den Begriff "string" allgemein. Bei einem Buch, das sich an Laien wendet (oder Neulinge im Internet etc.) würde ich Zeichenkette schreiben. Bei message string reicht wohl einfach "Nachricht".
