German translation:verdeckter Haken- und Ösenverschluss
Explanation:

What makes it a French fly is the fact that the buttons or hook and bar
fastenings are concealed and not visible from the front.

A couple of descriptions of a French fly

A French fly on trousers is a tab closure that is attached as an extension to the waistband. It ensures that the front of the trouser lies naturally flat because it equalises the pressure around the waistband.

A French fly is when you have a button on the left inside and the right hand side has a buttonhole, so that to put on your pants you button the inside button, then button the outside.

This closure has a front fly with an inside button tab; this keeps the fly laying smooth. It also has a hook & eye closure and extended outer tab with buttons.
