English term or phrase: generous fruity core
Hey there,

the following sentence is part of an Italio-English presentation about an Italian winery. It describes Chianti and Chianto Classico wines from the Barberino Val d'Elsa region. Would "Körper" be an adequate translation for "core"?
P.S. If you have a better German equivalent for "brooding austere character" than me (karger, ernster Wein) , I'll be more than happy.

"The Ormanni Chianti and Chianti Classico are sincere, soil driven wines, expressive of the Barberino Val d’Elsa commune, where Sangiovese takes on a brooding, austere character, though maintaining a generous, fruity core."

Salute!

German translation:fruchtig mit großzügigem Körper
Explanation:
brooding, austere character - strenger, herber (Wein-)Charakter

Körper ist meiner Meinung nach eine gute Lösung, aber nur in Verbindung mit großzügig, nicht mit fruchtig als Adjektiv

fruchtig mit Körper / fruchtig und körperreich

A brooding wine may have a hulking depth and concentration of flavor.

A dark, brooding wine loaded with character. An array of smoke, earth, game and dark cherry emerges from this hearty, classically styled Valpolicella that also happens to be a great introduction to the wines of the region.

Also, "streng" glaube ich eher nicht.

Siehe z.B. auch:

Saint-Emilion: dies sind **körperreiche** und weiche, mitunter **sehr fruchtige** Weine von ausgeprägtem Bukett. Saint-Emilion-Weine entwickeln heute schon nach drei bis vier Jahren alle ihre wertvollen Eigenschaften. Die großen Crus Classés können allerdings in mittleren und guten Jahrgängen zehn Jahren und älter werden.
