German translation: Rotmilan (Milvu Milvus)

English term or phrase: red eagles
Es geht über Schottland:

The Isle of Arran – delicious local food, adventure sports, wildlife (red eagles, porpoise, basking shark, otters, deer and seals to name but a few), whisky, castles, mountains – all that is glorious about Scotland in one fantastic little island package

The red kite magnificently graceful bird of prey is unmistakable with its reddish-brown body, angled wings and deeply forked tail.

Thriving in Arran's natural environment are the golden eagle and the ptarmigan along with many other bird species.

neutral  David Moore (X): According to d_williams' posted reference, the Golden Eagle is more restricted to the Highlands, though I don't KNOW. I do however agree that a photo would clarify!
