PAVEE POINT Travellers Centre (Dublin, Ireland). Pavee Point in Ireland is a non-governmental, community association, committed to the attainment of human rights for Irish Travellers. The group is comprised of Travellers and members of the majority population working together in partnership to address the needs of Travellers as a minority group experiencing exclusion and marginalisation.

PAVEE POINT, operating at local, national and international levels, seeks to develop innovative responses to Travellers' issues and needs, through direct work with Travellers and Traveller organisations, networking, formulating and making submissions to influence policies, researching, evaluating and publishing.

Δεν μπορεί να προσεγγιστεί ο όρος με απλή μετάφραση των δύο λέξεων, κυρίως γιατί υπάρχει πρόβλημα με το "κοινοτικός".

Οι κοινοτικοί οργανισμοί (community agencies) μπορεί είναι πολύ συγκεκριμένοι φορείς http://europa.eu.int/agencies/index_el.htm και το Pavee Point δεν είναι εταιρεία.

Είναι μια τοπική οργάνωση http://www.paveepoint.ie/ , μια ένωση, που σκοπό έχει τη συνεργασία, τη σύμπραξη, της κοινότητας των Ταξιδευτών με την τοπική κοινότητα.

Αντίστοιχοι τέτοιοι φορείς για τη συνεργασία μειονοτήτων με τις τοπικές κοινωνίες υπάρχουν κι αλλού. Στα κείμενα της ΕΕ ο όρος μεταφράζεται χαλαρά και ανάλογα με την περίπτωση. Αλλιώς αν είναι local c. a. ή ethnic c. a. ή migrant c. a. Συνήθως πάντως είναι σκέτο c. a.

Δε πιστεύω ότι υπάρχει κάποιος επίσημος τρόπος απόδοσης του όρου που να κάνει σαφές για τι πράγμα πρόκειται και να μην παραπέμπει αλλού.

Η πρότασή μου είναι ερμηνευτική, βάσει και της περιγραφής που κάνουν οι ίδιοι οι Pavee Point:
Pavee Point is a partnership of Irish Travellers and settled people working together to improve the lives of Irish Travellers through working towards social justice, solidarity, socio-economic development and human rights.

Αν υπάρχει καλύτερη πρόταση, θα τη δεχτώ με μεγάλη χαρά.
Π.χ. φορέας σύμπραξης των κοινοτήτων, κάτι τέτοιο.
