I know what a U-turn is in driving. How could we translate it with the word policy? Here is the phrase: "in a major policy U-turn, ......yesterday announced, "Right, that's it for me. No more fags," and introduced a sweeping ban on smoking on the premises.

Γνωρίζουμε ότι το "u-turn" δείχνει μια κίνηση αναστροφής προς την αντίθετη κατεύθυνση.
