English term

Love To You

Non-PRO English to Hebrew Art/Literary Art, Arts & Crafts, Painting
just a phrase my grandmother used to say, has no real source...she simply used to say "love to you" as a kind of way of saying I love you. I would like to get "love to you" translated into Hebrew rather than simply I love you.

Discussion

Doron Greenspan MITI Jul 12, 2009:
May I ask what was the origin of your grandmother? Different diasporas had different ways of saying such endearments...

Proposed translations

2 hrs

אהבתי לך

Ahavati Lecha (ch as Scottish Lock), which is actually "my love to you".

מתה עליך

This is what a grandmother might say to a grandchild..
The literal translation is: I'm dying on you, but in Hebrew it means: I love you very much.
