tivukh hori חווך הורי Explanation: This has to do with parents controlling, explaining, facilitating their children televesion viewing. I guess that the stereotypic theory would claim that in low income families, this mediation is either less significant or at least less effective. THink of those cases in which the TV serves as a cheap babysitter. By the way, parental mediation is not confined to viewing TV but can, and does extend to all the child's interactions with the world. Naty |
