neutral  Eynati: Both sounds are same in modern H so it should be khokhma. Ch in same word as Kh would confuse many E speakers to pronounce it as 'Charlie'. As to Michel : I was born & grew up in Israel, he didn't, so I don't think he can tell me how Israelis pronounce it

  -> the 2 letters may sound the same by some Hebrew speaking people, but still the spelling is different and should be reflected accordingly in the English transliteration.

agree  Michel A.: And disagree with Eynati, in modern Hebrew lot of (most?) people do make a difference between the two letters ('Het and Khaf), especially Orientals. I'm not so sure about the correct English transcription of these 2 letters.
