virologic failure כשל וירולוגי Explanation: you are correct that the English is imprecise: virologic / viral / virological failure should be used to describe some kind of failure of the virus (e.g., to kill the host, to duplicate itself) and not to describe the failure of the anti-viral treatment/intervention. One would expect a research protocol to be be more precise. Luckily, the "imprecision" works in both languages. eytan |
