मुख्यतः इसका संबंध किसी कोशिका या शरीर में वायरस के संक्रमण के दौरान परस्पर संबंध और क्रिंया से है, अतः अगर हम किसी सामान्य पाठक के लिए इसका अनुवाद करेंगे तो वायरस और संवाहक शरीर के संपर्क से ही अर्थ देंगे. संवाहक शरीर ही यहाँ वायरस की स्थिति में होस्ट बॉडी कहलाएगा अगर अतिथि शरीर कहेंगे तो अर्थ दूसरे ओर चला जाएगा. वैसे संवाहक भी क्लिष्ट हिंदी है, लेकिन शायद यही विकल्प है.
