cross-functional teamwork see explanation Explanation: Cross-functional teams typically comprise individuals with a functional home base (eg engineering, personnel, marketing) but who work collaboratively on issues or processes requiring diverse resources. Organisations, in both the private and public sector, are increasingly team based. Programmes, projects, taskforces and working groups are how things get done. In view of the position explained above, I feel that one of the following alternatives should serve your purpose: 1. Bahu VyavsAy Sehyog ( बहु व्यवसाय सहयोंग) 2. Vividh VyavsAy Sehyog (विविध व्यवसाय सहयोग) I have coined these terms on the basis of the above definition because the people of different professions are working together and collaborating with one another for the purpose of achieving a common goal in a cross-functional team. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 10 hrs 37 mins (2004-09-15 02:26:33 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- This is indeed a typical and tough question. I am proposing another suggestion, which might be helpful: Paraspar Sambaddh Karya Dal (परस्पर संबद्ध कार्य दल) The above proposal is based on the fact it is a team of professionals having expertise in different fields of work. |

cross-functional teamwork pratikool karaya sanyajan dal or poorak karaya sahyog samooh Explanation: pratikool karaya sanyajan dal or poorak karaya sahyog samooh is given on the basis of the explanation. Some people can object to the word 'poorak' saying that the exact word for this in english is complimentary, but when people of different type of work come together, doing teamwork for some project, they actually compliment each other. This meaning is according to the explanation given. However these shades can be more accurate depending upon the sentence of the text or text itself. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 13 hrs 47 mins (2004-09-15 05:36:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Pratikool should not be taken as opposite here. I wanted to say \'vibhin\'. |
