मेरे विचार से flameout का प्रयोग आग बुझने के अर्थ में, यानी literal अर्थ में, यानी flame के out हो जाने (बुझ जाने) के अर्थ में हुआ है। और संदर्भ कचरे को जलाकर नष्ट करने से है। यदि कचरे को जलाते समय (भस्मक - incinerator में) बीच में ही आग बुझ जाए, तो कचरा ठीक से नष्ट नहीं होगा और जहरीली गैसें आदि उत्सर्जित होंगी। इससे बचने के लिए flameout नहीं होने देना चाहिए।
