emberi célok /az emberiség céljai/ Explanation: Az angol "end" főnévi alakja számos jelentéssel bír, az "ends"-re ebben a mondatban a főnév negyedik szótári értelmezése vonatkozik: "an outcome worked toward : purpose <the end of poetry is to be poetry — R. P. Warren> b : the object by virtue of or for the sake of which an event takes place" (Merriam-Webster) Az "ends" tehát célokat, célkitűzéseket (purposes, goals) jelent. A "human" emberi, emberekre jellemző, emberek általi, összefoglalva emberiségre jellemző (humanity). Human ends tulajdonképpen bővebben úgy is fogalmazható, hogy the purposes of people, goals of humanity. Az egész mondatot, "Attempting to summarise inequality across dimensions is tempting but fails to respect the plurality of human ends and faces technical difficulties." valahogy így írnám magyarul: "Nagy a kísértés, hogy megpróbáljuk összesíteni a dimenziók közötti egyenlőtlenségeket, de ez figyelmen kívül hagyja az emberi célok sokféleségét, és technikai nehézségekbe ütközik." (Gondolom, könyvről vagy tanulmányról van szó.) -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 18 hrs (2010-03-09 08:52:50 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Olvassátok el, érdemes: "Reason, Development, and the Conflicts of Human Ends: Sir Isaiah Berlin's Vision of Politics, by Robert A. Kocis © 1980 American Political Science Association. Abstract At the root of the conflict between Berlin and his critics is a fundamental disagreement over the possibility of certainty and over the relation of human ends to politics. Gerald MacCallum's formalist critique obscures the political question of whose values a free person is at liberty to pursue. Macpherson's attempt to defend positive liberty as not rationalistic is shown to fail because he (a) conflates liberty with its conditions and (b) assumes a rational pattern to human moral development. And Crick charges Berlin with ignoring politics, understood as active participation in the polis. Finally, Berlin's conception of politics as a form of human interaction aimed at creating the conditions of human dignity in a situation where we sincerely disagree over the ends of life is shown to be an effort to liberate us to live for our own purposes. Yet Berlin's defense of liberty is problematic because it is too skeptical; to overcome this difficulty, a non-teleological yet developmentalist account of human nature and a weakly hierarchical account of human values is suggested." Nos, ennek alapján "felülírnám" saját javaslatomat (kár, hogy nem lehet): emberi alapértékek vagy életcélok sokkal jobban illene ide, mint az eléggé semmitmondó 'emberi célok'. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 day8 hrs (2010-03-09 23:05:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Balázs sugallatára elkezdtem Szent Tamásról olvasgatni. |

emberi célok Explanation: „Keep human beings at the centre. Start with children. Economics must serve human ends not dominate them. Investing in people, children first and foremost, is the way to build our collective future. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 óra (2010-03-08 16:01:56 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- “Human being exists rationally thus he cannot live without freedom. We should take into consideration the plurality of human ends. Each individuals have inviolable rights. Individuals should be free to pursue or define their own ends and that we are autonomous beings.” http://richardrodriguez.blog.friendster.com/ -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 nap1 óra (2010-03-10 16:16:24 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- „Introduction A core claim about technology is that it has changed the relationship between means and end. While technology traditionally is thought of as a means to human ends, it has actually has become an end in itself. One could even argue that it has become an end to which we adapt our lives - a gauge for human life (ars mensura).” http://seminar.net/index.php/volume-2-issue-2-2006-previousi... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 nap16 óra (2010-03-11 06:37:34 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- A „humán célok” kifejezést elsősorban csoportok vagy csoportokra vonatkozó célok kifejezésére használják: „A hagyományos nyereség-, likviditás-, megtérülés- és humán célok közül különösen a humán cél jelentősége nő: mint említettük, a kreatív, nagy szaktudású és elkötelezett emberi erőforrás lesz a vállalatok egyik legnehezebben megszerezhető erőforrása.” http://epa.oszk.hu/00000/00017/00033/pdf/hovanyi.pdf Reference: http://www.unicef.org/eapro/Pacific_GEC_children_and_women_f... |
