Si penulis mengatakan ...literally just to check out. Saya berpendapat bahwa lebih pas kalau seluruh frasa ini yang dicari padanannya.

Mengapa penulis berkata literally? Agar tidak ditafsirkan sebagai check out dalam makna lapor keluar dari suatu tempat. Tentu susah membandingkan dengan cara yang sama dalam pola pikir Indonesia, sebab:

1-check out 'harfiah' diterjemahkan (tidak dipertahankan)
2-check out hotel lebih sering dipertahankan.

Itulah jadinya jawaban di atas. Di dalam kalimat:
